Every year, families leave their homes due to climate change. Hundreds of bird and insect species go extinct. Political polarization surrounding environmental issues grows more polarized. But things don’t have to be like this.
GrassRoots is a podcast that goes to the communities that are the first to feel the effects of environmental degradation, whether they’re rural farmers struggling to grow enough food to eat in Eastern Africa, or they’re families in East L.A. feeling the effects of environmental racism. We talk to farmers, community leaders, spiritual leaders, environmental experts, and a host of other concerned people to explore what it looks like to respond to our ongoing environmental crisis with a sense of urgency and hope.
