The most beautiful things you do in life will almost never be the easy or convenient ones.
⠀⠀
I’ve been getting myself ready for next week. Hearing about the two hour sleep cycles I’m bracing for oddly takes me back nine months to when this baby was conceived. It’ll be a different kind of exhausting for sure, but I can’t help but remember the month of February- needing to drive two hours each day while Deanna’s leg was broken, racing against the clock to pack and move houses twice, and still putting in full days of work.
⠀⠀
Sometimes, I wonder if all the stress and chaos going on at that part of our journey was sort of a spiritual rehearsal for the road ahead.
⠀⠀
Love often shows itself in the form of sacrifice. And while in many ways the survival mode of the earliest days of parenthood sounds rough, I am thankful that I we sometimes get such tangible ways to show love to the people we get in our life.
