Share the Hard Stuff

It’s kind of inevitable for new parents. The Instagram feed turns into a baby gallery. It’s happening here too, folks.

Along with all the new dad content, though, I’ve been trying to be pretty intentional about sharing the hard parts of the pregnancy, of the year-long wait of trying to get pregnant. While we were going through the thick of it, I had the feeling that someday these stories were meant to be shared.

Seeing other people share their journeys through similar struggles, hearing from others who had to fight to keep hopeful, were some of my biggest pieces of encouragement while going through all that. And I’m committed to sharing the hard stuff alongside the sweet stuff, because you never know who else might need that part of your story.

It’s like something @morganharpernichols said once that I like a lot: the mountains in your story just might one day be somebody else’s trail guide.
